Wolves

Wolves have captured the imagination of mankind for millennia. They are present in every culture’s folklore and remain popular symbols of Strength, grace, and valor. We produce a large variety of wolf products ranging from headdresses, masks, cowls, mantles pauldrons, rugs, mounts, miniature and life-size décors, etc.

Wolf products come in a large variety of colors and designs.

When choosing your wolf please consider the following questions prior to reaching out

1. Which wolf color would I like?
2. Do I want acrylic eyes? if so, what color?
3. Would I like the wolf to have teeth?
4. Is this a stand alone headdress or a mask headdress combo?
5. Is this a clean cut piece or one with a jagged cut?
6. Would I like to add any additional body parts (body, front and/ or back paws, tail, claws)?
7. If I’m requesting a wolf with a multi color pattern, do I want upgraded body pattern?
8. Are there any additional modifications I’d like to request?

A headdress is a piece that sits on top of the head. Each basic headdress will include the head, neck and upper shoulders of an animal. Like all products, the colors and extent of headdresses can be customized based on client preferences. Prices are determines based on color and extent of the headdress. For example, a pure white wolf will be less expensive than a gray wolf which may make use of various shading techniques or the use of more than one fur color in a more complex pattern. Headdress sculpts are divided into 2 main categories; Winter and Autumn. The Cast you choose will determine the finished look of your wolf. These casts are further elaborated on bellow.

Winter

The Winter is the most popular choice for performers and LARP. This piece offers a sleek and lively reproduction of this iconic creature. the sculpted eye rims, integrated nose and details trimming and shading, coupled with its often determined and fierce gaze make this design our most produced piece. The starting price for these wolves is highly varied depending on the base fur color as well as how many colors are used in the pattern. You can generally expect them to begin at around $990 USD for basic solid color wolves.. Multi colored fur patterns will begin at around $1100. Various upgrades are available to order.

Autumn

Autumn is our newest addition. Introduced in November 2020, Autumn offers a slightly more compact head with more refined curvature and a gentler, wiser gaze. The primary motivation for recreating a wolf headdress was to allow for pieces such as the mantle which require slightly smaller wolf heads for aesthetic fluidity and practicality. Autumn is simply a slightly reimagined and reinterpreted wolf. Autumn sculpt wolves will have comparable prices to the Winter sculpt wolves.

Mask/ Headdress Combo Styles

Winter

As the name suggests, these pieces can be worn as headdresses and masks interchangeably. The default combo comes with eye holes but no acrylic eyes placed in. This offers better visibility. Combos can be ordered with acrylic eyes as well. This will limit visibility but it’s a very popular choice among my clients. The advantage of combos is that if you tire of wearing it as a mask, or if you’re eating or drinking, it’s as simple as flipping the snout up and comfortably wearing your wolf on your head. As with all animals, additional body parts can also be added to the basic piece.

Autumn

Introduced in November 2023 as a mask combo, Autumn offers a slightly more compact head with more refined curvature and smaller features. as a slightly smaller head, this sculpt lend itself better to being made into a mask/ mantle combo as well. Autumn sculpt wolves will have comparable prices to the Winter sculpt wolves with pattern and color complexity being the primary determinant of cost. As with all animals, additional body parts can also be added to the basic piece.

Anatomy of a “Basic” piece

The term “Basic” piece if used to describe the default coverage of the majority of headdresses and mask/ headdress combos. Our headdresses will cover the head, neck and upper Shoulders. Additional parts are upgrades that can be added accordingly to each piece. Parts that can be added include, but are not limited to, front paws, full or partial body in the form of a pelt, hind legs, tail, claws, teeth, etc. Various parts can also be separately ordered. For example, you may order a basic headdress with a separate tail, or you may order the body independent of the basic piece.
Additions do not need to follow the natural look of an animal. As a simple example, you may ask for a full fur cloak if the fur in question is available in large quantities. You may also ask for cloaks in wool of other material with matching fur trims.

Body Extent, Style & Cut

Extent & Pattern

For the majority of our Animals you will have the option to add either a full body or parts of a body. Each part is calculated separately based on the animal, size of the pelt, fur colors (some furs are more expensive than others), Pattern (single color or multiple colors), and the extent of the body you include. You are not limited. you may choose to upgrade some body parts and not others. The features image here shows a Northwestern wolf with a silver basic body and the available upgrades. You may for example choose to have a basic body but upgraded front paws. That’s up to you.

Styles & Cuts

Our clients are not limited to designs we’ve put forth. You’re always welcome to bring your own design to us for an assessment. The above depict some suggested style and cuts. Once again, you would have the option of upgraded color patterns or solid colors which may be mixed and matched as you please. The featured image depicts an upgraded 2 tone pattern. Any of these parts are also available in solid colors. Tails can be ordered Separately for mantle/ body styles that don’t stretch down low enough to have attached tails. Other parts like Cuffs and Leg Warmers are also available additions.

Mantle/ headdress combo (multi-use)

These are multi use pieces. Mantles are designed to realistically mimic a skinned and sacked wolf. These pieces can be worn as headdresses, mantles and sashes, or simply displayed as wall hangers and throws. The default mantle will include the head, body, and tail of the animal without limbs. Default pieces will have blank black hand painted eyes. They can be ordered with acrylic eyes or skinned eyes as well. additional body parts can also be added as per client requests. The overall length of these pieces can be modified, however, we’ve found 170 to 180 cm to be ideal.

silence of Mercy

Mercy (Mask with stationary bottom jaw)

Mercy is the name we’ve chosen for the macabre open jaw mask design. This 2021 addition to our collection features a somewhat unnerving stationary open jaw. Unlike the mask/ headdress combo, this design can only be used as a mask and must be removed when eating or drinking. Both eye holes and the gaping jaw can be used as peep holes. This design has a starting price of $1500 USD. Additional parts can be added accordingly.

Full head mask (stationary jaw)

Full head masks with stationary jaws can be created in any of our existing wolf colors or in custom colors. They can be created with Mantled as seen in this photo, or with a closed collar upon request. As with all our animals, this product can be upgraded to include the animal’s pelt as well.
Production time for full head masks will usually be higher than the average production time at the time of purchase. This item is always a Special Order and not a Regular Line piece and is therefore not listed on our main Made to Order page. This style can be expected to start at $2500 USD for solid base colors.
The articulating Jaw version of this mask was discontinued in August 2023.

Ordering your wolf

When ordering your wolf, aside from the style of the piece your ordering, you’ll want to think about

  1. Coat color : We make a large variety of colors and couldn’t possibly catalogue all of the possible color combinations on our website or social media. Communicating the color you have in mind will be the first step in discussing your order. It always helps to have a photo reference available. This reference can be from any of our social media galleries, a real wolf photo from the internet or elsewhere, an artistic representation, etc.

  2. Eye color: Wolves don’t naturally have a wide range of eye colors but we offer any color you would like your wolf to have. you’re not limited in terms of eye color or style whatsoever.

  3. Extent of the wolf body: All our pieces by default come as a “basic piece” which includes upper head, neck and shoulders. You’re welcome to add body parts such as the body/ cape, paws, tail, etc. You’re not limited to depicted designs either. Fantasy designs and parts are also welcome.

Coat Colors:
You’re not limited to the colors we list or those you see on our social media!
